Our Studio & Team

Tadasana Mountain Yoga opened in the Spring of 2011.

We are committed to offering a variety of styles and approaches to the practice of yoga.

We believe that yoga is fun, deeply rewarding and personal and unique to each person.  We respect each student on their own individual path and discovery of the practice of yoga.  Our teachers provide the guidance and encouragement but we hold that a yoga practice is a journey in self discovery.

The Space

Our front lobby offers cubbies for your belongings and a small yoga boutique store.  We sell yoga clothes, books on yoga and wellness and yoga props.

We are a low impact studio; reducing waste by minimizing paper use, discouraging use of one-time plastic water bottles and recycling and/or composting all that we can.

We look forward to your visit to our studio. Be sure to contact us before hand with any questions.

  • Caroline began a weekly yoga practice at a young age and has been practicing with different studios and instructors for 20+ years as both a spiritual and phsyical outlet.

She began teaching in 2011 and specializes in vinyasa flow classes. She provides variations in her flows for both beginner and advanced students and can provide an energizing, strength-building class or restorative class depending on the preferences of the attendees.

Caroline enjoys coaching participants safely into different options for inversions and providing 'play time' in each class. As a local Nederland resident, she is thrilled to be a part of the Tadasana family.

  • Cynthia's hatha yoga practice merges mind, body, and spirit, creating a soul-centered experience. Her classes prioritize presence, focused movement, and playfulness, weaving in her love for nature, breathwork, and energy.

Having discovered yoga in 1997, she found healing in holistic practice taught by Michael Bonamer, himself a devoted student of Goswami Kriyananda. A major life transition in 2019 and a severe illness called Cynthia to deeper study in 2022. Completing her 200-hr Inner Power Yoga teacher training at Tadasana Mountain Yoga in Nederland, CO ignited her passion for sharing the benefits of yoga practice with others.

Cynthia brings this passion and devotion to her classes, to her community, and to her life.

  • Diana's introduction to yoga was through Raquel Welch videos that she would do with her mom. She took her first yoga class on the beaches of Thailand in 2002 and fell in love with the union of body, mind and spirit that is at the heart of yoga.

  • Erin came to yoga after years of desk work and running had begun to break down her spinal discs and cause her regular back pain.

After practicing many styles of yoga she chose to study Pralaya Yoga with her teacher Robert Boustany. Erin was drawn to the detail-oriented, science-based approach to yoga and a style designed for the average north-American. She also loves Robert's depth of knowledge with a strong base in traditional eastern yoga and other Asian practices, plus the evolutionary and playful nature of the practice.

Students often refer to Erin's classes as being refreshingly different, focusing on the "itsy bitsy" parts/details, and "being playful". She loves to take requests from students and customize her classes to their needs and interests and inspire them to find yoga in their day-to-day.

Erin has over 900 hours of yoga training and has trained in and taught prenatal yoga, postnatal yoga, Divine Kids yoga, and the Yoga Better yoga style. She is currently training in "Natural Movement" with Ape Co Movement School.

  • Jen has always loved to dance! She studied classical ballet for 16 years. In 2001 she took her first Nia class and has been passionate about it ever since.

Nia teaches the Body’s Way so that we learn to listen to the voices of the body as guide and teacher. It provides an approach to life that uses everyday movement and activities to stimulate, to heal, and to bring joy. It’s called dancing through life! It unlocks the wisdom in our bodies and connects us to the movement of life.

Jen has been a certified Nia instructor since 2003. She has taught Nia classes in the Boulder/Denver area for over 17 years. She invites both newcomers and seasoned dancers to experience her class and the joy of movement.

  • Justine Sanchez has been a practicing yogini for over 20 years.

After the birth of her son, Justine suffered a sciatic injury that brought her to her knees and to yoga. She found her teacher, Sofia Diaz, in 2002. Ever since, Sofia has continued to bring Justine to her knees in the consistent bow that IS Hatha yoga. It is with much gratitude to her teacher that Justine offers her practice as a teacher in and around the Boulder area.

Justine, her husband, and son live at 9,260 ft in a straw bale home they built together in Ward, CO. Living in close proximity to the elements, as well as the “chop wood/carry water” lifestyle, informs her practice and her offerings.

Teaching and living in the Nederland area for over a decade, Justine’s practice is honed towards strengthening and maintaining healthy bodies as mountain dwellers. As well, her class offers an opportunity to contemplate how bodily practice can inform our moods, inspirations, and life challenges.

  • In 2009, Kim’s passion brought her to Maui to study “Maya Yoga”, a fusion of Ashtanga & Iyengar, with inspirational teachers Nicki Doane and Eddie Modestini. She completed a yearlong study with RR Shakti, founder of “Inner Power Yoga”, in 2013.

Her emphasis is on awareness, breath, alignment and the integrity of the asana allowing the space needed to move energy and create positive change in the body and mind. She feels that the foundation of the pose is essential to a healthy and sustainable yoga practice and it’s through a safe and mindful practice that a student is able to heal their body and quiet their mind.

Kim brings the ancient teachings of yoga philosophy into the classroom cultivating ones connection to self and the wisdom within. She believes that the practice of yoga cultivates the awareness within to find and explore the connection between body and mind giving everyone the ability to heal oneself physically, mentally and emotionally. She encourages her students to take yoga off the mat and into their daily lives promoting healthy relationships in every aspect of life.

  • After initially focusing on the external aspects of yoga, Lauren's journey has evolved over the last nine years to a deeper appreciation for the mindful and creative movements that bring joy and connection to the body, regardless of outward appearance.

As a teacher, she combines dynamic movement, breath work, strength, and mobility in her vinyasa classes, catering to all levels of practitioners.

Lauren holds a safe and welcoming space for her students to explore and connect with their bodies on the mat. She is also passionate about restorative yoga and the incorporation of much-needed rest and relaxation into daily life.

  • Marni has been practicing yoga over 25 years. She first came to the practice as a college student and was astounded when one of her instructors reached out and grabbed her own toe. Before long, Marni noticed herself integrating stretching into her daily activities and found that she could breathe deeper and stay calmer for it. She attended a variety of yoga classes, but found her yoga home in the Ashtanga Vinyasa system. In 2004, Marni completed her Teacher Training at Richard Freeman’s The Yoga Workshop in Boulder, CO. She primarily practices and teaches Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga but also deeply enjoys sharing what she has learned about Restorative Yoga as well as Parent-Tot Yoga.

In her classes, Marni offers precise instruction and gentle assists to create a comfortable and fun yet challenging environment.

  • In 2019, Michelle completed the 200 hour Inner Power Yoga Teacher Training in Nederland. She loves learning and hold a B.S. in Exercise Science from Ithaca College.

For her, yoga is about using our physical body to have a spiritual experience. She begins class in meditation and focus on breath. Her classes combine strength and flexibility, effort and surrender, in a dynamic vinyasa flow style. Expect to move sweat and breathe.

Additionally, Michelle offers massage treatments at Tadasana. She received her certification from Healing Spirits massage school in Boulder, Colorado and went on to receive an advanced degree in Phenomenal Touch Massage. She believes your massage can be deep and specific, gentle and soothing, or wavelike and freeing -- depending on what your body needs.

In her years of experience, she has found that the best massages come through closely listening to her clients and following her intuition. "Together, we create the massage that suits you best".

  • Taylor is a 200hr RYT that teaches Hatha yoga, as well as guided pranayama. Her calming, light, and playful energy keep your flow grounded while almost distracting you from realizing the work you’re doing.

One of her goals in teaching is to have her students greet their bodies with more love and compassion. She truly believes that when we change our thought patterns from judgement to curiosity, releasing expectations, true shifts can happen.

  • My first yoga classes were in a martial arts studio in Ecuador. I showed up to exercise, and was delighted to discover the meditative aspect of yoga and the challenge of making all those cool shapes! Since then, I’ve worked as a guide on international and wilderness expeditions, a teacher, a social worker and I’ve supported humanitarian efforts abroad. I also earned a 200-hour yoga teaching certificate and Masters degrees in both Education and Social Work.

All along the way, yoga has helped me access clarity, contentment and strength. At Tadasana, you can find me teaching stretchy and strong vinyasa flow classes, leading restorative sound baths, reveling in our awesome studio community and occasionally cracking jokes.
